Dr. Joel Carboni is the founder and president of GPM and the architect of the P5 Standard, the Sustainability Competence Standard, and Sustainable Project Management® — a framework now taught in over 145 countries through the PMI-GPM joint venture. Over more than 30 years and across 60 countries of direct project, advisory, and teaching work, he has focused on one central question: what it takes for sustainability commitments to actually survive how projects get approved, funded, and delivered. He is a member of the Forbes Business Council, a contributor to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and a participant in UN SDG working groups.
